Dr Rhiain Morris BA(Hons) MSc DClinPsych CPsychol
| I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and member of the British Psychological Society. I completed my training on the Oxford Doctoral Course in Clinical Psychology (a course accredited by the University of Oxford). I have experience of working with the following issues:
General psychological well-being • depression/low mood • anxiety (including panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder or OCD and phobias) • stress and low self-esteem • bereavement/grief process • trauma issues • addictions (drug and alcohol problems)
Clinical health psychology Adjustment to and management of physical health conditions including: • coping with chronic pain • chronic fatigue syndrome or ME • diabetes • HIV • cancer • sexual health/functioning problems • heart and kidney conditions
I mainly use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) in my work but am eclectic in my therapeutic approach so therefore draw from other theoretical frameworks such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). This allows me to tailor my approach according to individual need. I adhere to the British Psychological Society's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
Oxfordshire Counselling and Psychology Practice I work as a partner of Oxfordshire Counselling and Psychology Practice (OCPP). This is a private therapeutic practice run with a Counsellor, Benn Kiley. We recognise that finding a therapist or an approach that is right for you can be a difficult decision to make. By working in partnership, we aim to widen the set of skills available to you, seeking to give you greater choice right from that first point of contact. |
