I believe that Counselling offers a safe, confidential, non-judgemental and contained space for the exploration of issues, options and personal choices. I have experience with working with people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures, and have worked in a Further Education and University counselling service for the past 5 years.
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I practice as an Integrative Relational counsellor, which draws from the Person Centred and Psychodynamic approaches.
I hold that:
- The relationship jointly developed between me and my client is at the heart of the counselling process and important to the outcome of therapy.
- That all our relationships develop and are impacted by social processes, cultural and political influences, as well as our own abilities.
- I can work with you in the “here and now” as well as things from your past, whether these are to do with:
- Relationships
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Panic attacks
- Bereavement and loss
- Life changes
- Impact of dyslexia
- Stress
- Low self esteem
- Trauma
- Sexual issues
- Abuse in all its forms
I offer short term or long term contracts and review the value and direction of our relationship regularly. Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually weekly.
I am currently available on Wednesday evenings (5-9pm) Tel: 01295 – 231320 E-mail info@banburytherapycentre.com Or you can reach me directly via email on info@dianacharters.co.uk or call my mobile no. 07788 763060. My fees are usually £35.00 per session, which may be negotiable under certain circumstances - I can discuss with you at the first session which is an assessment, free of charge. Payment is on the day, and can be made by cash or cheque. • You need to give me 24 hrs notice of cancellation, or the session maybe charged. I will review my fees annually, in September 2011.
I also work as a volunteer counsellor for Rushden Mind, seeing clients one day a week.
